2006 Iwata Hi-Line Gravity Feed Dual Action Airbrush *Polished Needle/Wrench*.Hey guys. I am cleaning out my airbrush collection since I pretty much only use one or two brushes so hope someone can use this. It was expensive.
This is an iwata hi-line. It has been kept cleaned and polished, including the needle (see photos).
This is a really nice brush with excellent air and paint control through the trigger. It almost knows what you want to do when working with close and fine details. It does have the MAC valve for even more control. This brush can do medium to extra fine work. It’s not really set up to blast out a fire hose worth of paint but it can be used for large stuff and not just fine detail work. It’s a great all around brush.
The “EG” code on the side of the brush next to “Made in Japan” is a date code. You can look up the Iwata factory codes online and match up the letter codes to the month and year each airbrush was produced. Neat!
I have included the quick detach air hose attachment and the cool nozzle wrench (never used). You don’t have to use the quick release attachment if you want to hard wire your hose directly to the brush but it sure makes cleaning and moving around a whole lot easier. I highly recommend it.
The overall condition is excellent though there is a little scratch on the paint cap. I tried to show it in the photos the best I could. It is very small.
The needle has been polished out with 3000 then 5000g trizact using Flitz metal polish. Also shown in photos under 60x magnification.
The case has signs of white speckled overspray because I do use this brush for my business and sometimes it’s just on the bench when I am painting parts.
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy.
